Let me start by saying that I had never water colored before this class. Once I signed up, Louisa sent an email on how to prepare for the class, with suggested tools (and links), reminders, etc. When the time arrived for class, it was such a great experience! Even though it was virtual, I very much felt like it was a personal experience. The class was the right size to get feedback from Louisa and not have to rush through my painting. She played some light music in the background and had 2 cameras (for different angles to see her painting) which gave a great “in class” and “In person” feel. Great experience ✨

I am totally hooked on watercolor art now because of Louisa. Seriously, if you’re looking for an instructor that’s approachable and easy to follow, look no further! ..seriously just go signup now lol.. I was always too nervous to take an art class for fear of being judged and not having the fundamentals, but with Louisa those fears never existed. I’ve taken 3 classes with Louisa (macarons, croissants and eclaires) and they all turned out fantastic! Class sizes are small to give you that personal feedback and experience. It was really fun to paint with folks from different parts of the world too! She takes you through the sketching process, color mixing, paint layering and adding details. I’d take a class by Louisa any day.

As an entrepreneur I basically had zero hobbies - until I signed up for Louisa’s watercolor classes. The time in her class is relaxing, soothing, creative and fun!! It’s literally the only time I get in my life to turn off everything else and just create. It’s slow and intentional and I am always waiting to sign up for the next class. Took Louisa’s Patisserie shop watercolor class. It was such a fun class! Great vibes and energy. She broke everything down step by step (it was my first watercolor) which was great. She answered all questions and even gave me ideas of things to add or ways to make more work have more depth. Can’t wait for her 2021 classes! I’ll be signing up!

I joined the class last minute not knowing what to expect. I was nervous for many reasons but Louisa was so sweet! She included me in the conversation and checked in on me and gave me great feedback! She even helped me with my technical difficulties and waited for me to get it all fixed. It was such a great class! The community she has built is great and she is so helpful. I highly recommend taking a class!

Full disclosure: I am Louisa’s bestie, BUT the croissant painting class was UHHHMAZING! She started off the session with some jazz music and provided everyone with a step by step guide on how to draw a croissant. Then she even helped us live, every step of the way too! When we moved on to the painting portion, she walked us through the best way to mix our watercolors, the swatches we should have ready for use, and how to actually paint (layers on layers like winter time). Each student had their own pace but we eventually all created neat little croissants! The vibe was dope, judgement free, my student peers were also bomb and great artists too! Overall I would recommend Louisa’s classes to any beginner whether they’re fearless or need a bit more structure to their watercolor introduction. 11/10 for sure! :D

I love Louisa’s art and style so getting to paint alongside her and being taught by her was great! I did several of the classes and enjoyed each one and feel like I learned a lot. She provided easy to follow step-by-step drawing guides beforehand and also walked us through drawing each piece step-by-step live. She taught on color mixing, different watercolor techniques, shading, etc. The amount of live feedback I got was sooo helpful! And she set the tone of the classes with beautiful music. Overall, an enjoyable experience and better watercolor skills because of it.

I've had two classes with Louisa and I cannot recommend her enough! She's taught me so much about watercoloring in her workshops than I've ever learned! The classes over zoom have really allowed me to grow in such a unique way. Plus Louisa has the best playlists and creates a really fun and creative vibe. Throughout the class, I had the opportunity to ask questions and show my work for feedback in real time! Honestly such a difference, even had one of my friends offer to purchase one of my pieces!

This was my second ever watercolor class, the first time though with Louisa. I absolutely loved it. I went to school with her and the same dedication and energy she put into her design work, shines through in her teaching and her skills as a watercolor artist. She provides a very relaxing, laid-back environment between the amazing choice of music in the background to taking her time with each step, never once rushing to move on to the next step. Each step is also broken down into very simple tasks so that the learner fully understands what is being done. She's also very supportive in the sense that she suggests improvement with zero judgment. I'm extremely self-critical of any art I do and she helped me see past that. I ended up loving how my work came out and also got to realize maybe I've been working with the wrong medium. (I mostly do digital work on my iPad). But yeah, I definitely plan on returning for more classes in the future.

I’ve had the pleasure of taking a few of Louisa’s workshops and I’ve loved them all. She’s a great teacher, so patient and encouraging, and she makes her lessons so easy to learn. She walks you thru every step and at the end of the class you’ll feel like a proud little artist. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to sign up for more sweet lessons!
